On Tuesday 20 November, a BNSF Railway train with 13 cars went off the tracks in northwestern Minnesota (USA). No one was reported to be injured.

Reportedly, the freight train held 121 loads of coal, as well as four locomotives.

The cars derailed at approximately 2:20 a.m. on the east side of Fisher, in Minnesota.

Providing an update on the incident, Amy McBeth, BNSF Spokeswoman, stated: “The tracks there are out of service, and we will be rerouting trains as much as possible using other routes we have in the region.”

The cause of the derailment is currently being investigated.
