Paradip Port achieves historic cargo handling milestone

The Paradip Port Authority (PPA) has processed an unprecedented 41.12 million t of cargo handling within the first 100 days of the fiscal year 2024 – 2025.
This performance set a new record in the Port’s history, demonstrating a 4.785 growth compared to the 39.25 million t achieved during the same period in the previous fiscal year.
This achievement not only underscored the port’s role in bolstering India’s maritime infrastructure but also reflected its commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and capacity.
Under the leadership and guidance of Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, the PPA has surpassed its previous benchmarks, showcasing significant growth and efficiency in its operations.
PPA Chairman P.L. Haranadh expressed his deep gratitude to the for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister, attributing the success to his unwavering support and strategic direction.
“The exceptional performance of Paradip Port Authority in the first 100 days of FY 2024 – 2025 is a testament to our team’s relentless dedication and hard work,” said Haranadh. “We are deeply thankful to Shri Sarbananda Sonowal Ji for his continued leadership and guidance, which has been instrumental in achieving this feat,” he added.
