Bucket elevators, apron conveyors, chain conveyors, loading bellows – Gambarotta Gschwendt SRL has adapted itself to all possible product requirements of its customers since its foundation in 1919.

"My grandfather founded the company back then, initially as a repair and mechanic company. He used the remaining material from the war as raw material to make the mechanical components. Since then, we have continued to evolve - with technical innovation and increased demand for our services," says Fabrizio Gambarotta.

Meanwhile, he is the third generation managing director of Gambarotta Gschwendt. He stated: "If we look to the present day, we made another leap: since last year we are also exporting to China. There we see a very promising market. Meanwhile, we have established good relationships there and are able to sell at interesting prices. Moreover, China is no longer a low wage country, and here, too, costs have risen. Thus, there are also more and more customers asking for high quality products. And that's exactly what we can offer them.”

Here, the company is broad in its selection for the customers.

"Our portfolio consists of vertical conveyor systems (bucket elevators) capable of pumping up to 3000 tph of abrasive material. That's the maximum delivery rate. Ultimately, however, decides the type of conveyed the exact amount per hour. That's not what most other companies do. In addition, we offer horizontal systems, also for the promotion of hot goods.

“There are also weighing and dosing systems that are very good for us and have taken the lead in their sector. Another of our products is the slat conveyor with weighing function. It is suitable for the discharge of hot goods from a silo with simultaneous weighing and delivers high accuracy and reliability. We also offer loading systems for trucks and silo vehicles.

"The customer comes to us with a problem and we provide him with the right solution."

Not only in terms of product portfolio, but also in terms of the target group and the customizability of its products, the company is well prepared.

Fabrizio Gambarotta explained: "We are mainly in the cement works, but do not limit ourselves to this sector. We are also active in the automotive, steel, mining, fertilizer and food sectors. Our concept is to use our consistent technology as a foundation and to always adapt it to the needs and requirements of each sector. The customer comes to us with a problem and we provide him with the right solution."

To achieve this, the Italian company now employs 50 staff, of which 30% are graduate engineers. It is important for the company to always adapt to new topics.

"For example, energy recovery is currently a big issue, as is safety at work. These facilities may also pose a risk to personnel in certain areas. Here, we also have responsibility to give people the technical know-how. Basically, we want to continue to grow and remain successful in the future," he concluded.
