Coal exports from Russia to Asia Pacific to drop?

According to Argus Media, Russian coal exports to Asia Pacific could drop in July because of disruptions of deliveries to far eastern ports and overland border crossings with China in the first half of this month.
Russian state-owned railway operator RZD on 9 - 11 July halved shipments of all cargoes, including coal, to stations of the Zabaikalskaya Railway and Far Eastern Railway, which lead to Russian far eastern ports and overland border crossings with China, destined for all recipients amid force majeure circumstances. Heavy rains in the Zabaikalsk region led to flooding, which has damaged bridges and washed out roads.
Delays in supplies may result in a lack of Russian coal in the Asia Pacific spot market and push export prices up in the coming weeks, Russian coal suppliers say.
