Diana Shipping Inc. sells 18-year-old panamax

Diana Shipping Inc. has announced that it has signed, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, a memorandum of agreement to sell to an unaffiliated third party, the 2006-built vessel Artemis, with delivery to the buyer latest by 8 March 2024, for a sale price of US$12.99 million before commissions.
Upon completion of the aforementioned sale, Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet will consist of 39 dry bulk vessels (four newcastlemax, nine capesize, five post-panamax, six kamsarmax, six panamax and nine ultramax). Presently the combined carrying capacity of the company’s fleet, including the m/v Artemis, is approximately 4.5 million DWT with a weighted average age of 10.59 years.
