Diana Shipping announces sale of Capesize dry bulk vessel

Diana Shipping Inc. has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to sell a Capesize dry bulk vessel to an unaffiliated third party.

The sale agreement was finalised through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary and the vessel – the 2006-built Sideris GS – will be delivered to the buyer by 20 January 2021 at the latest.

The sale price has reportedly been set at US$11.5 million before commissions.

Upon completion of this and another recent sale of a Panamax dry bulk vessel, the M/V Coronis, Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet will consist of 38 dry bulk vessels (four Newcastlemax, 12 Capesize, five Post-Panamax, five Kamsarmax and 12 Panamax).
