Dry bulk ship owner Oldendorff has announced the sale of one of its post-panamax vessels, the Claas Oldendorff, at a time where the market is softening.
According to sales registers, the post-panamax shipping company has sold six ships, with four sold in pairs since the start of June 2024. The ship-owning company has let go of another vessel, selling the 11-year-old, 96 000 DWT, Imabari-built, scrubber-fitted Claas Oldendorff for US$27 million.
The price from the sale is the same as a previous sale from early April 2024 when another European seller sold a sister ship to Dongguan Haichang, the non-scrubber fitted Lowlands Rise, which has been re-named HC Wisdom, for US$26 million.
