Greek dry bulk carrier owner and operator DryDel Shipping has expanded its fleet with the delivery of the 2015-built kamsarmax, m/v Nord Beluga.
The 81 841 DWT Beluga, formerly the Nord Beluga, was delivered in Singapore to DryDel Shipping on 10 April.
It has been known for some time that the vessel was bought for US$27 million from the vessel’s previous Danish owner, Norden.
The vessel is ice-classed and equipped with scrubber technology. It was built in 2015 at Oshima Shipbuilding and, according to the company, the vessel represented a significant milestone for its fleet expansion.
With the addition of the Beluga, DryDel's fleet consists of 11 bulkers in addition to 19 chartered-in ships and 10 newbuilds set for delivery between 2024 and 2026.
