Key to this is that most of Guttridge’s machines are not simply ‘off-the-shelf’ solutions. In fact, although it does offer a range of standard machines, most of its machines are built for the customer’s application and reflect the specific requirements of every customer. The company aims to design its equipment to offer the lowest whole life cost in the marketplace.

This is relatively simple to do, as when the company designs the machines, it knows where the high wear areas are likely to be, so makes sure that it provides ease of access to those areas. But Guttridge also makes sure that, if there is an issue further from the typical problem areas, it can still access that in a relatively straightforward and easy way.

It is a priority for the company to make sure that its machines can be installed quickly, easily and cost-effectively for its customers, and that routine maintenance is kept to a minimal level that can be completed quickly to reduce the amount of machine downtime allowing customers to be operational for longer periods improving their productivity and efficiencies.

Guttridge has over 50 years of experience of bulk materials handling equipment and has a very skilled workforce that knows what they are doing, so that is why it has opted to create unique, custom-made machines and, to do this and to retain its employees, the company has kept its training levels very high to ensure that it has one of the most highly trained workforces in the industry.
