The leader of the agrarian market of Ukraine, NIBULON has launched its 27th grain terminal. The grain terminal was built in four months in the village of Ternivka in Vilnyansky district (Zaporizhzhya region).

The company invested US$23 million in the project. This was announced at the solemn launch ceremony by the General Director of the NIBULON joint venture, Alexei Vadatursky.

According to Vadatursky, the capacity of the terminal will take up to 300 000 tpy of grain. After the terminal has been opened in Ternovka, the total volume of elevator capacities at the disposal of the company will reach 2 million t of simultaneous storage.

"The appearance of such an object is economically beneficial to agricultural producers, since they can receive up to US$10 in profits for each tonne grain by reducing their logistics costs. In addition, due to the fact that we will take 12 500 trucks a year from the highways and transfer these cargo to the river transport, the Zaporizhzhya region can save at least US$300 million annually for road repairs. First of all, in Zaporozhye itself, where the grain growers went straight through the city," said Vadatursky.

He also added that preparation for the commissioning of the terminal also included work with approaching waterways. "Every year, Ukraine is losing up to 100 km of water bodies due to pollination and rubbing. We only on this site were able to clear an additional 15 km of waterway. There will be large-tonnage ships with a draft depth of up to 4 m. That is, they are ships of the sea, not the river class,” said Vadatursky.
