Mantsinen brings a new material handling machine, Mantsinen 140, to the market. It is the first portal machine of this size with turning wheels, which enables sideways movement and efficient use in limited space. Other manufacturers do not have an equivalent option available.

Mantsinen launches new material handling solution for ports

Mantsinen 140 is designed mainly to be used at ports in loading and unloading ships, but it is also great in pulp and steel mills in feeding operations and terminal works.

140 model, positioned between 120 and 160 models, completes our material handling offering. It is a natural step for clients who are looking for more tonnes per hour from their material handling machine without significantly bigger investment. Mantsinen 140 machines are already delivered and sold to several countries, although the official launch is in the beginning of September in our distributor meeting,” says Tapio Pirinen, Vice President of Material Handling Machinery at Mantsinen.

Competitive edge for clients and Mantsinen

Mantsinen 140 offers notable competitive advantages. The machine is designed for long lifetime and it is efficient, safe and maintenance friendly. Undercarriage, power line and optional equipment are the same as in all the other Mantsinen material handling machines.

“The lifetime expectancy of the machine is in its own league, and it also has Hybrilift® that makes it up to 50% more energy efficient. For maintenance work, it has a machine room with a roof on top. Mantsinen Telematics System makes IoT a part of material handling; it transfers important machine and operational data to cloud service, including for example handled tons, hydraulic pressures, temperatures and electronic service follow-up,” Pirinen sums.

“Typically, in the course of time clients go from a smaller machine to a bigger one when the efficiency demands grow. The new machine handles significantly more tons in an hour than a smaller machine. Thanks to our assembly plant in Rauma seaport, Finland, we can deliver fully assembled ready-to-use machine for the client on demand. This way the client can start working immediately when the machine arrives, and there is no operational disturbances at all.”

Strong professional partner

All Mantsinen material handling machines are manufactured at Ylämylly factory in Finland. Mantsinen 140 was developed in only 1.5 years. The versatile product offering now has machines in all size ranges together with large selection of attachments.

“We have skilled employees, and over 50 years of experience as a logistics contractor. User perspective is very strongly present in our machines, and we value user feedback highly. With this new machine we can serve clients even better.”
