Diana Shipping Inc. announces sale of a capesize dry bulk vessel, the m/v Boston

Diana Shipping Inc., a global shipping company specialising in the ownership and bareboat charter-in of dry bulk vessels, has announced that it has signed, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, a Memorandum of Agreement to sell to an unaffiliated third party, the 2007-built vessel 'Boston', with delivery to the buyer latest by December 20, 2023, for a net sale price of approximately US$18 million.
Upon completion of the aforementioned sale, Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet will consist of 40 dry bulk vessels (4 Newcastlemax, 9 Capesize, 5 Post-Panamax, 6 Kamsarmax, 7 Panamax and 9 Ultramax). As of today, the combined carrying capacity of the Company’s fleet, including the m/v Boston, is approximately 4.7 million dwt with a weighted average age of 10.51 years.
