Diana Shipping Inc. announces delivery of the post-panamax dry bulk vessel m/v Electra

Diana Shipping Inc. has announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has taken delivery of the m/v Electra (formerly Grain May), a 2013 built post-panamax dry bulk vessel of 87 150 DWT that the company entered into an agreement to purchase in April 2017.
Including the newly delivered m/v Electra, Diana Shipping Inc.’s fleet currently consists of 51 dry bulk vessels (four newcastlemax, 14 capesize, five Post-panamax, five kamsarmax and 23 panamax). The combined carrying capacity of Diana Shipping’s fleet is approximately 5.9 million DWT with a weighted average age of 7.83 years.
