Diana Shipping Inc. announces time charter contract with Uniper

Diana Shipping Inc, a global shipping company specialising in the ownership of dry bulk vessels, has recently announced that, through a separate wholly-owned subsidiary, it has entered into a time charter contract with Uniper Global Commodities SE, Düsseldorf (Germany), for one of its panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Calipso, for a period until minimum 15 Ocotber 2020 up to maximum 31 December 2020.
The gross charter rate is US$4750/day for the first 45 days of the charter period and US$8250/day for the balance of the time charter, in each case minus a 5% commission paid to third parties. The charter commenced on 13 April 2020.
The ‘Calipso’ is a 73 691 SWT panama dry bulk vessel built in 2005.
This employment is anticipated to generate approximately US$1.34 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter.
