Bluetech Finland signs design contract for its Bluetech 45 bulk carrier

Navibulgar has contracted 4+2 Bluetech 45 handymax bulk carriers from Yangzijiang.
The Bluetech 45 design is based on the successful Bluetech 42 design. The ship will have a length of 190 m, maximum draught of 10.8 m, weighs 45 000 DWT, a large hold volume for its class and an ice class 1C.
Bluetech bulk carrier designs have the largest hold volume and deadweight and lowest fuel consumption in their class, making them the most eco-friendly on the market. The designs are marketed worldwide by Clarksons Platou Shipbroking.
Navigation Maritime Bulgare (Navibulgar) is Bulgaria’s leading ship owner with its history dating back to year 1889. Currently it is operating a fleet of over 30 vessels including 26 handy / handymax bulk carriers of over 25 000 DWT.
Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Group Ltd is the largest private Chinese corporate group with shipbuilding and offshore engineering as its core businesses. The shipyard is ranked in top three among Chinese shipbuilding enterprises.
