Strengthening its position as one of the biggest, most valuable, and most profitable companies in the Middle East region, Bahri, a global leader in logistics and transportation, has been featured in Forbes Middle East’s list of the top 100 companies for 2021. Bahri advanced 36 spots on the list to reach its best ranking so far, reaching the 40th position this year.
Bahri’s achievement recognises its remarkable performance and exceptional resilience during a particularly challenging period for businesses worldwide. Despite operating amid uncertain market conditions, the company continued to lead innovation and excellence in the maritime logistics and transportation industry through several multi-pronged initiatives to improve its operational efficiency, technological competencies, service offerings, geographical presence, and fleet strength. As a result, Bahri attained an increase of 153% in its annual net profit in 2020, with the revenue increasing by 28% compared to the preceding year. Furthermore, by significantly improving its ranking this year on the ‘Forbes ME’s Top 100 Companies in the Middle East’ list – from 51 in 2020 and 76 in 2019 – Bahri has reiterated its commitment to delivering quality-driven services and attaining sustained revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Commenting on the accomplishment, Eng. Abdullah Aldubaikhi, Chief Executive Officer of Bahri, said: “Bahri’s improved position on Forbes ME’s top 100 list recognises our sustained growth and efficiency at all levels as well as our growing market presence. We are proud to be one of the topmost logistics and transportation companies in the region to make it to the list, once again proving our industry-leading capabilities and underlining our commitment to excellence. I thank our team members for their invaluable contributions to our continued success.”
Bahri’s recognition as a top company in the region by Forbes ME is the latest among its several recent global and regional acclaims, reflecting its consistently high performance and service standards. It recently won the ‘Excellence in Logistics’ and ‘Excellence in Sustainable Practices’ awards at the Global Good Governance (3G) Awards and the ‘Ship Operator of the Year’ award at the ShipTek Awards 2021, in appreciation of its accomplishments across various aspects of business excellence.
