South Korea’s Polaris Shipping has selected ExxonMobil as one of its top three business partners for 2020. The award follows a rigorous selection process that graded 67 suppliers against a range of criteria. This is the very first time ExxonMobil has received this prestigious accolade.

“We are extremely honoured to be named one of its top three business partners by Polaris Shipping,” said Frans Horjus, ExxonMobil’s Global Marine Lubricants Manager. “Our long-term partnership, combined with the commitment and knowledge of our highly experienced teams, helped make this possible.” The assessment process used by Polaris considered several factors, with quality and cooperation being the most important. The outcome of the assessment is used to select up to five winners each year.

“The past 12 months have been tough for the marine industry but ExxonMobil’s continued adherence to our determining criteria was invaluable to the continued success of our business,” said Park Jung Jun, Head of Procurement and Account team, Polaris Shipping. “This award is in recognition of ExxonMobil’s continuing commitment to delivering high quality products and collaborative services in a competitive way.”
