DB Cargo Nederland NV appoints new CEO

Wim Visser has been appointed by the Supervisory Board of DB Cargo Nederland NV from 1 October 2017 to the management of DB Cargo Nederland NV.
He follows Nigel Smith, who will support the management of DB Cargo UK at the request of the shareholder in the short term. Since 2016, Wim Visser has served as CFO in the management of DB Cargo Nederland.
Wim Visser has been trained as a registrar accountant and began his career at the Dutch Railways NV in 1988. He completed various senior management positions at NS Cargo, DB Cargo and Railion Netherlands until joining the management of RBH Logistics, a subsidiary of DB in 2008 Cargo AG in Germany.
"Wim Visser is an experienced Dutch manager who is familiar with the special requirements for the management of a modern rail freight carrier," said Otto Niederhofer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DB Cargo Nederland.
