Primasonics launches new powerful acoustic cleaner for ship holds

Primasonics International’s new mega powerful acoustic cleaner, the Primasonics Macro Sonics MAS-30, which has been designed for the rapid cleaning of ships holds. It was designed and tested in conjunction with the acoustic research unit at the University of Liverpool and the company are now seeking a partner to carry out controlled trials within dry cargo ship’s holds.
Managing Director of the company, Don Cameron, commented: ‘Our company had previously conducted successful trials with our largest audiosonic acoustic cleaner model the PAS-60 both in the UK and in Australia with ship’s holds containing bulk cement. However, we felt that a more powerful, newly designed acoustic cleaner would provide the ultimate solution for the rapid cleaning of dry powders from ship’s holds.’
