ABP appoints a new Chief HR Officer

ABP has announced that Alison Rumsey, currently Group HR Director at Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, will be joining ABP later this year. Rumsey will become ABP’s Chief HR Officer, taking over responsibility for HR at the UK’s leading port operator. This latest appointment reflects ABP’s ongoing commitment to investing in people, developing talent and making sure ABP is a great place to work.
Network Rail is one of Europe’s largest infrastructure businesses with £6.2 billion of revenue and over 40 000 employees. Prior to leading Network Rail’s HR function, Rumsey held a number of senior HR positions in Government and banking, including Group HR Director at the Department for Transport, HR Director at the Department for Energy and Climate Change and various HR positions at Abbey National plc (now Santander UK plc). Rumsey is now set to bring this wealth of experience to ABP.
Welcoming Rumsey’s appointment, ABP Chief Executive Officer, Henrik Pedersen, said: “We’re very much looking forward to welcoming Alison to the team. The date when Rumsey will formally join ABP will be confirmed in due course.
