Shoreham Port has recently launched Shoreham Port Solutions, a new subsidiary company. The new company will provide high quality resources, training and expertise on a commercial basis to both Shoreham Port and other large customers across the port estate.
As a key local economic drive, Shoreham Port has 260 years experience and has built meaningful connections with local businesses across the operational and marine sectors. Launching their new service will meet the workforce needs of its tenants and customers by offering nearby support directly from trusted experts based at Shoreham Port.
Shoreham Port Solutions supports the Port Skills and Safety Sector Plan and the shared ambition to raise safety standards, proactively instead of reactively. New members of the Shoreham Port Solutions team will receive the same health and safety training as members of the Shoreham Port team.
Being a Trust Port, Shoreham Port is committed to being a fair employer and creating high-quality opportunities. Therefore, Shoreham Port Solutions is proud to be one of over 600 businesses who have signed up to be a Brighton and Hove Living Wage employer. By paying the living wage, Shoreham Port Solutions ensure that their team feel valued and supported.
Shoreham Port Solutions is looking to grow its workforce and is employing flexible workers to meet the resource needs of its customers. Port Operatives will be working on a variety of assignments based across the Port.
Tom Willis, Chief Executive, commented: “Shoreham Port is delighted to be able to launch Shoreham Port Solutions to expand its operational services and offer in-house people resources, equipment and training. This is an exciting period of change for Shoreham Port and everyone has had a part to play in making it a success […] By making this change, the company can combine together Shoreham Port’s existing knowledge and customer base to improve safety at the port, reduce costs and enhance the customer service levels which the company is known for here at Shoreham.”
