Engineering veteran to provide technology leadership to accelerate Navis' software strategy.

Raj Gupta has joined Navis as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering.

Gupta brings with him more than 20 years of experience in leading software development organisations in both large enterprise applications companies, such as Oracle, and small entrepreneurial start-ups.

Before joining Navis, Gupta served as Senior Vice President of Engineering for enterprise software company Nice Systems. In this role, he was responsible for defining and delivering the organisation’s SaaS product strategy, transforming Nice Systems into a global product development organisation, and accelerating innovation. Before that, Gupta served as Vice President, Engineering and Operations at Oracle, where he spent more than a decade leading the development and implementation of enterprise software, SaaS products, cloud infrastructure, business intelligence and on-demand applications.

“We are thrilled to have Raj join Navis to lead our technology and engineering organization. Raj brings extensive experience in improving quality, migrating applications to SaaS platforms and integrating applications into a seamless architecture and user experience,” said Scott Peoples, Senior Vice President and Chief Products Officer, Navis. “Our goal at Navis is to transform the global container supply chain and provide high value software applications to ocean carriers, container terminals and shippers. Raj will play a significant role in helping us build the world-class software development organisation that will serve as the critical foundation for this vision.”

As Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering, Gupta will be pivotal in ensuring that Navis’ current and future R&D investments lead to products that deliver maximum value for the global maritime shipping industry. Under Gupta’s leadership, Navis will continue to invest in the Navis N4 Terminal Operating System (TOS) in order to better serve customers as they grow and automate their operations in the future. At the same time, he will also be responsible for helping to execute on technology strategy for XVELA following the recent acquisition of INTERSCHALT.

"For nearly three decades, Navis has not only maintained strong market leadership, but has also responded swiftly to evolving customer needs, resulting in several product lines that today deliver transformational value across the global supply chain,” said Gupta. “I am thrilled to step into this position and work jointly with other members of the leadership team to take customer value and satisfaction to the next level.”
