New municipal Port Police regulations have come into effect at the Port of Antwerp, Belgium.

Modification 3 of the Municipal Port Police Regulation, the Port Instructions and related forms came into force on 12 November 2018.

The port and the social context in which it operates are in a constant state of flux. It is therefore essential for the Police Regulation to take account of the changing situation and requirements.

In modification 3 of the Port Police Regulation various articles were modified, and various new provisions were added.

In 2014 the Port Instructions were drawn up to supplement the Municipal Police Regulation, to serve as a guide for how the latter should be applied. Some Port Instructions were modified and some new Instructions were added. Correspondence between the Police Regulation and the Port Instructions is still ensured by having parallel numbering, with corresponding articles sharing the same number.

In addition the Port Instructions include several URL links to the Harbourmaster’s standard forms (HKD22, HKD18, etc) that have to be submitted to the Permits Desk of the Harbourmaster’s Office: Toelatingen.HKD@portofantwerp.com.
