Mondi receives corporate social responsibility award for excellence

Mondi achieved the highest score of all Solvay suppliers – an overall 83 % – in the EcoVadis ranking. The scoring takes into account factors related to environment, labour practices, fair business practices and sustainable procurement. Mondi scored above the average in all categories and far surpassed the overall average score of 42 %, scoring in the top 1% of all EcoVadis suppliers.

Kristian Saksida, Group General Manager Purchasing and Supply Chain Excellence, Solvay, said: “We are pleased to recognise Mondi for its remarkable sustainable practices, which is outstanding, among all our suppliers. Mondi is not only a strategic supplier to us, but also a role model of sustainable development. This is the first year we are presenting this award, which we hope will encourage all our suppliers to strive for more sustainable practices in their business operations.”
