Bedeschi completes bulk material handling project

Dry Bulk,

Bedeschi has finally delivered the project to Kernel LLC (Ukraine). The order, which started in 2018, included the supply of a new grain terminal. The terminal is composed of two lines, each with a travelling shiploader mounted on rails and equipped with a tripper conveyor to elevate the material in the loader boom.

The tripper is fed by a dock conveyor, which extends for 300 m and is positioned parallel to the parked vessel. Additionally, to prevent dust emission due to the wind, the dock conveyor is equipped with a particular rubber belt covering, running along the whole profile of the conveyor, including the tripper. After a single hold of the ship is filled, the loader is moved to the next operating zone travelling at a rate of approximately 40 m/min. The loading capacity for each line is equal to 2200 tph and each shiploader is designed to satisfy the required loading capacity permitted for each wheels, on the exiting rails installed on the pier.

Bedeschi is happy to have successfully concluded this project in summer 2020; there is huge satisfaction and it is another example of the company’s long-term experience in the realisation of tailor-made solutions for bulk material handling.
