Dneprotechservice SPF (DTS Group) has announced another successful year of completed bulk materials handling projects for its coal industry partners. Three large projects valued at over US$3 million and number of smaller equipment renovation projects was fulfilled by DTS Group in 2016, and a solid foundation for 2017 was laid.
The year of 2016 for DTS Group’s Bulk Materials Handling division was begun with a shipment of stationary side discharge wagon tippler VBS-93MO to TIS-Group, Ukraine's major private dry cargo seaport. Installed at TIS-Coal, one of the largest in former USSR sea terminal for handling of coal, ore and other bulk cargo of open storage, the VBS-93-type wagon tippler has 1800 tph capacity and is adapted to be installed on sites with high-level subterranean waters.
By the end of 2016 DTS Group shipped its heaviest rotary wagon tippler VRS-125M to Avdiivka Coke and Chemicals Plant, a top-five metallurgical coal producer in Europe and the largest metallurgical coal producer in Ukraine. The Plant produces metallurgical coal for key metallurgical assets of Metinvest Group – Azovstal, Yenakiieve Steel and Ilyich Steel – as well as non-Metinvest plants such as Arcelor Mittal Kryvyi Rih. New DTS Group-made wagon tippler would allow Metinvest Group to maintain production rates of various steel products and, as a result, to save thousands of workplaces in the Eastern Ukraine, a region deeply affected by combat operations.
Modernisation
Besides this, DTS Group continued supplies of various spare and modernisation parts to CJSC Daltransugol, operator of Vanino Bulk Terminal of SUEK, one of the world’s largest coal companies and the leading coal producer in Russia. To be used at rail wagon unloading system based on two duplex open-top rotary wagon tipplers VRS-2x75, delivered in 2008 – 2009, these spares pave for Vanino Terminal a way to a targeted capacity of 24 million tpy.
Among the projects above, DTS Group supplied the newest model of its wagon tipplers range, an open-top VRS-75S2, to JSC Ivano-Frankivskcement – one of the leading manufacturer of construction materials in Ukraine. The nearest projects of DTS Group’s Bulk Materials Handling division planned for 2017 are supplies of wagon tipplers and associated technological equipment to one of coal handling and preparation plant (CHPP) in Russia, and to a coal-fired power plant in Kazakhstan.
