BMG President and CEO Stephenie Davis has announced that BMG Conveyor Services, a veteran leader in conveyor belt installation, sales and services in North, Central and South America, has officially rebranded to Davis Industrial.
A Tampa entrepreneur, Davis purchased BMG in 2008 at a point when the company, like many others, was in turmoil due to the economic conditions of the economy. The next few years were spent restructuring and investing in people in order to expand the company's core competencies and overall service and production capabilities.
"Besides a lot of hard work and long hours, we saw a unique opportunity to launch a fabrication division in a second location under a subsidiary called Industrial Performance Group (IPG). IPG was integral in extending BMG's capabilities from conveyor systems to many other types of industrial metal fabrication. With this new addition, we were able to bring more quality products and services to our customers and in some cases manufacture products that were not readily available to our customers' mission critical needs. This allowed them to keep the conveyor systems operational for longer periods of time without costly downtime. With industry demand and our enhanced service offerings in different vertical markets, it was time for a change to handle the growth," Davis said.
Davis first announced the change amongst senior management and employees from BMG and IPG at a private corporate gathering in mid-January. "We spent three months with our brand consultants at HCP Associates who helped us assess our business objectives prior to making this monumental decision. In order for future growth, we had to look longer term and develop a brand that we can grow into over the next few years and realign the two companies under a single corporate structure. Judging from the overwhelming positive response from our team at our brand announcement party, we hit the mark and we now have one team and one mission: serious growth!" Davis said.
Under Davis, the company has received an excellent safety record, has been ranked one of the fastest growing companies in Tampa Bay five years in a row, and was a finalist for Tampa Bay's 2016 Small Business of the Year Award.
Longtime Operations Manager, Josh Thomas sees a bright future ahead, "We have been a proven leader in conveyor maintenance, metal fabrication and bulk material handling components. As Davis Industrial we will continue expansion on all of our award-winning services while providing world-class products and expert personnel for our customers to know that with us they are getting the job done right, the first time."
In addition to the new name and brand, Davis Industrial is also launching a new website and domain that features broader service offerings for everything related to conveyors. Davis Industrial will continue providing mission critical service 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
"We really did this right and are very proud of our team! You can expect to see the new Davis Industrial brand all over the region, whether it be on our trucks, technician uniforms, social media pages, or a dozen other brand-toting mediums. We are ready to grow as a unified team and over-deliver to all our clients," Davis said.
