Denmark-based NORDEN remains active in the bulk carrier sale-and-purchase arena, recently finalising the sale of a supramax vessel and securing a Japanese-built panamax.
NORDEN has declared an additional Supramax purchase option and subsequently completed the sale of the vessel.
In addition to this sale, NORDEN has acquired a Japanese-built Panamax, which is expected to join the fleet in September 2025. The vessel, built in 2017, is a wide-beam 85 000 dwt unit with high grain-loading capacity and a shallow draft – features that make it particularly well-suited for maximising cargo intake while maintaining access to ports with depth restrictions. This acquisition is aligned with NORDEN’s current cargo requirements and reflects the company’s strategy to optimise its fleet in response to specific market conditions, ensuring the delivery of efficient and reliable transport solutions worldwide.
