SAGO issues tender to import feed barley

Saudi Grains Organisation (SAGO) has announced its sixth tender for the year 2020 to import 540 000 t of feed barley to be supplied during the period of November - December 2020.
His Excellency Eng. Ahmad A. Al-Fares, Governor of SAGO, stated that the amount specified in the tender is distributed to nine shipments; seven shipments to be delivered to the Kingdom’s ports on the Red Sea, and two shipments to the Kingdom’s ports on the Arabian Gulf.
H.E. said that this tender comes as an extension to the Kingdom’s plan to meet the local demand for feed barley and maintain its strategic reserve. This year, SAGO has contracted to import five batches of feed barley, with an estimated amount of 4.5 million t.
