Globus Maritime reports 3Q16 loss

Dry bulk shipping company, Globus Maritime, has reported an increased loss in 3Q16 compared to the same period in 2015. The company lost US$2.8 million in the three months to September 2016, down from US$2.5 million in 3Q15.
Despite this, the company’s year-to-date performance remains well ahead of last year’s. Its loss for the first nine months of this year stood at US$9.7 million compared to a loss of US$16.1 million over the first nine months of 2015.
Global operates five bulk carriers: four supramax and one panamax. All of its vessels are currently operating on short-term time charters.
