ESL Shipping renews contract to transport iron ore on Arkadia

ESL Shipping has renewed its contract to transport iron ore from Baffin Island, Canada, to Bremen, Germany, on its supramax vessel Arkadia.
The vessel departed Bremen on 9 August and is now sailing towards Baffin Bay, fully fitted to meet the Arctic waters.
Baffinland Iron Mines, the Mary River Project, is located on the north coast of Baffin Island in the Canadian Arctic. Milne Inlet area is navigable only a short period during the summer months between mid-July and early-October when the area is not covered by ice.
