International marine coatings extends proven silicone foul-release technology to the wider fleet

Unveiled at Posidonia in Athens, Intersleek 2120 expands access to the proven silicone technology from International for vessel operators, delivering reliable, predictable performance aligned with day-to-day operating conditions.

Built on three decades of silicone expertise and real-world operational insight, Intersleek 2120 is engineered to support lower total cost across the docking cycle, through reduced application and maintenance.

While silicone foul-release technology has historically been adopted in more specialised vessel segments, a broader group of owners can benefit from silicone-based performance when the solution is aligned to their operating profile, service needs, and value expectations.

Intersleek 2120 is designed for vessel operators transitioning from biocidal self-polishing copolymer (SPC) systems who are seeking to improve hull performance in response to increasing regulatory and efficiency pressures. Delivering speed-loss performance of up to 1.4%, it is particularly well suited to vessels such as bulkers and tankers, as well as a wider range of vessel types and operating profiles.
