Aberdeen Harbour recently welcomed the new Chief Executive of the UK Chamber of Shipping, Bob Sanguinetti, to the South Harbour expansion site. He was joined by two colleagues, Policy Director Anna Ziou, and Policy Manager, Robert Merrylees.
The group was given a tour of the South Harbour visitor's centre before viewing the construction site. Topics of discussion included the benefits of the Trust Port model, Aberdeen Harbour's existing position as Scotland's principal oil and gas port, and the growing opportunities across other sectors including decommissioning, international trade exports and cruise.
The visit to the South Harbour formed part of a series of meetings in and around the North Harbour area.
