Bruks Siwertell has been contracted to provide its innovative Siwertell Care augmented reality (STC-AR) service agreement to an existing Siwertell road-mobile ship unloader customer in the US.
The US customer operates a Siwertell 5 000 S road-mobile ship unloader, which was delivered in July 2024. The cement handler has subsequently opted to supplement this delivery with an STC-AR service agreement.
“STC-AR agreements represent a significant milestone for our road-mobile ship unloader business line,” says Jörgen Ojeda, Sales Director, Mobile Unloaders, Bruks Siwertell. “They highlight how we are blending innovative technologies, such as augmented reality, with our renowned customer care agreements to deliver unmatched levels of service and support.”
STC-ARs are digital service agreements, designed to complement regular mechanical, hydraulic and electrical inspections and maintenance work on Siwertell road-mobile unloaders. “They combine cutting-edge hardware, including AR glasses and headsets, with pre-paid, fixed-cost support and discounts on spare parts,” explains Ojeda.
The AR-kit connects to Bruks Siwertell in Sweden via mobile internet, allowing local service engineers and operators to link with remote experts. Bruks Siwertell engineers can monitor and guide on-site maintenance tasks in real-time, seeing what the operator sees and providing immediate, tailored instructions.
Remote support reduces the need for on-site engineer call-outs, which lowers costs and travel-related environmental impact. Furthermore, real-time evaluations and discussions of equipment performance streamlines communications and enables continuous improvement.
“These agreements elevate the level of support we can provide to our customers,” he adds. “From rapid troubleshooting to significant cost and efficiency benefits, the STC-AR is a game-changer in how maintenance and operational support are delivered.”
Siwertell road-mobile units are equipped with an integrated communications system that enables remote access, troubleshooting and support.
