Gasum bunkers Seaworks’ LNG-fuelled dry bulk vessel

Finnish energy company Gasum has performed the first LNG bunker delivery to Seaworks’ new self-unloading dry bulk vessel in the port of Risavika, Norway.

The self-unloading dry bulk ship, Vigdis H, is 80 m long, features 3900 t and is said to be the first bulk carrier in its class under 5000 t that is carbon neutral.

The  runs on LNG, with electrical solutions for operation on board.

The vessel was built by China’s Wuhu Shipyard in the Yangtze River in China on 29 November 2022, and according to Gasum, it was delivered in December 2023.
