Greek dry bulk owner and operator, minerva Marine, follows other dry bulk ship owners and offloads one of its older capsize vessels, the 15-year-old Sapientza.
The Andreas Martinos-led diversified owner of over 70 ships sold the 15-year-old Sapientza, making it the company’s first listed bulker sale in nearly 10 years.
Brokers in Athens have seen the Jiangnan Shanghai Changxing Shipbuilding-built 177 736 DWT unit go to Chinese buyers for around US$22 million.
According to S&P databases, Minerva's last ship sale was in November 2014, when the 2010-built kamsarmax Panamanian was sold and renamed Fiskardo for US$22.7 million.
