According to Argus Media, Sri Lankan state-owned firms Ceylon Fertilizer and Colombo Commercial Fertilizers have issued a tender to buy urea, TSP and MOP closing on 26 July.
The combined tender requests 38 500 t of granular urea, 7500 t of TSP and 20 000 t of MOP to be delivered to Colombo during October, or within 42 days of the letter of credit being opened.
The Sri Lankan government recently awarded its 3 July tender to buy TSP to Asia-Pacific trading firm Swiss Singapore at US$334.10/t cfr with 180 days' credit. It awarded the urea tender to Agri-Commodities at US$305/t cfr sight for the granular urea and US$325/t cfr sight for the prilled urea.
