Globus Maritime Limited has secured new time charter employment for its vessel Moon Globe (a 74 432 dwt Panamax dry bulk carrier, built in 2005 at Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard in China).
The vessel has been chartered to an unrelated charterer. The charter commences on 21 January 2021 and has a minimum duration of three months and a maximum duration of six months, at the charterer’s option (plus 15 days for redelivery). It is expected to generate gross revenue of approximately US$1.3 million, assuming the charter continues for the minimum scheduled period, and approximately US$2.4 million if the charter continues for the maximum period. Each case assumes no off-hire days.
Athanasios (Thanos) Feidakis, President and CEO of Globus commented: “We are very pleased that after this charter and in combination with our current Galaxy Globe charter, we have now secured what we expect to be about 40% of our projected fleet operating expenses for 2021 in what looks like a promising start to the year.”
