DryDel has announced its official entry into the Capesize sector with the order of two sister vessels of 182 000 dwt from Namura Shipbuilding in Japan, scheduled for delivery within 2028.
DryDel said the expansion provides the following advantages:
- Top-performing, scrubber-fitted Capes
- Taking advantage of a historically low Cape orderbook
- Diversification into a larger-size drybulk sector
The project is a Joint Venture with Japanese partners Namura Shipbuilding. The two Capes will be fully managed, both commercially & technically, by DryDel.
This follows the successful delivery of four 40 000 dwt vessels from Namura in 2024. DryDel’s newbuilding program includes 10 dry bulk vessels to be delivered over the next four years.
